Safely prepare your existing appliance for removal prior to the delivery of a new unit. Our professional installer will shut off and disconnect the water supply, safely disconnect electrical connections, and ensure the appliance is ready for removal without risk to your home.
This service is commonly required when a retailer’s delivery provider will deliver a new appliance and remove the existing one.
What’s Included
- Review of service details and site conditions with the customer before work begins
- Service performed prior to the scheduled appliance delivery date
- Inspection of existing water and electrical connections to ensure they can be safely disconnected
- Shutting off water supply at the existing shut‑off valve
- Verifying that water is fully turned off prior to disconnection
- Disconnecting water supply lines or tubing from the appliance
- Securing or capping water connections as required to prevent leaks
- Performing a basic check to confirm there are no leaks at the connection point
- Disconnecting electrical supply and ensuring the appliance is safely unplugged
- Leaving the appliance in place for removal by the delivery provider
- Final cleanup of the immediate work area

- Removal or disposal of the appliance
- Delivery or installation of new appliances
- Supply or installation of a water shut‑off valve if one is not present
- Plumbing modifications, relocation, or extensions
- Electrical upgrades or relocation of outlets
- Structural changes or access modifications

If a shut‑off valve is not present or is not operational, additional work may be required and may be subject to additional charges or a separate service. Additional charges may also apply where site conditions prevent safe disconnection. All work is subject to site conditions, safety requirements, and applicable plumbing standards, and service may be declined if conditions are deemed unsafe or non‑compliant.
