What’s Included
- Review of installation details with the customer before work begins
- Unboxing and inspection of the new over‑the‑range microwave for visible damage
- Disconnecting the existing OTR microwave, including electrical and ductwork
- Verifying existing venting is present, properly aligned, and compatible with the replacement unit, with no modifications required
- Checking manufacturer clearance requirements to ensure proper spacing to combustibles
- Mounting and securing the microwave according to manufacturer specifications using existing mounting locations
- Adjusting exhaust fan orientation, if required, for existing ducted or ductless configurations
- Connecting and sealing to existing ductwork, if applicable
- Installation of anti‑tip or support brackets if supplied with the appliance
- Plugging into an existing, code‑compliant electrical receptacle
- Testing full operation, including microwave heating, exhaust fan, lights, and controls
- Verifying the appliance is properly grounded and fully operational
- Final cleanup of the immediate work area, including breaking down installation packaging and placing materials aside for customer disposal

- Disposal of old appliances or packaging
- Pick‑up or delivery of the appliance
- Installation of new electrical outlets or modification of existing electrical supply
- Structural changes, cabinetry modifications, or wall reinforcement
- Venting modifications, ductwork changes, or new venting installation
- Installation of units requiring significant alterations to fit the existing space
Important Disclaimer
This service covers replacement installation only using existing electrical supply, venting, and mounting conditions. Any additional labour, electrical work, ducting adjustments, cabinetry changes, or structural modifications may require additional charges or a separate appointment. Pre‑existing conditions—such as improper venting, damaged wiring, insufficient cabinet support, or inadequate clearances—may prevent installation from being completed. We reserve the right to decline or stop service if safety, accessibility, or code‑compliance issues are identified.
Optional Add‑On Services
Where applicable, optional add‑on services such as disposal of the old appliance and/or pick‑up and delivery from the local store may be available for this service. Eligible add‑ons, if offered for your specific appliance and location, will be presented during checkout. Add‑on services must be purchased at the same time as the installation and cannot be sold separately.
